WordPress Theme

When starting your website, you have two options - a purchased WordPress theme or a custom WordPress theme. Both options include installing WordPress, setting up a temporary testing environment until the site is ready to go live, installing the theme and making necessary adjustments to the theme and inserting demo content as needed.

Purchased Theme

If you need to save money, consider purchasing a WordPress theme instead of paying for a custom one. Not only are our fees greatly reduced, but you also will not have to pay a web designer to produce a custom design. We will be happy to find a theme for you, or you can find one you like and give the files to us. We will handle the purchase and installation of the agreed upon theme. Custom Theme

If your budget allows, we suggest creating a WordPress theme from a custom design for a polished, professional look based on your brand and your content. This quote DOES NOT include any design services. If you already have a design, we can work from your design files. If you don't have a design, you may use a designer of your choice or we will use our design partner, Electric Dreams Design. You can plan on adding $2000-$4000 to the estimate depending on the complexity of the design and the number of pages designed. For more information, please see the FAQs page.

Special Functionality

If you are choosing to start with an purchased theme, most of the following special functionality will already be included creating a signficant cost savings to you. No matter if you chose to use a purchased or custom theme, please choose which functionality you would like included in your website estimate so we know what you want from your website. If the purchased theme includes that functionality, you will not have to pay the estimated fee.



E-COMMERCE

Depending on your type of business, you may want to add an online store or online donations. If you’ve chosen to purchase a theme, this functionality may be included with the theme which will significantly reduce your cost for this service. If you are going with a custom theme or the purchased theme doesn’t include an e-commerce solution, there are a few ways to add e-commerce to your site. The first way is to add a PayPal shopping cart that enables you to sell a few items easily without investing too much money into a system. This option is less expensive and simpler to use. The second option is to use a full e-commerce solution such as Woocommerce. This option is more expensive, but is more robust and offers many features the PayPal shopping cart does not. Content

Every website we create comes with a set of training videos tailored specifically for your website FREE of charge. We believe in empowering our clients to update their own content. If you have a limited budget, you may choose to use these videos to input all content yourself. If you would rather not deal with it, we would be happy to provide that service. Please estimate the number of pages and other content for which you will need content inserted or transferred from your old website.



HOSTING

Every site needs a place to live, and this is called “hosting.” To make this process easier for our clients and to provide excellent customer service, we offer hosting. If you choose to use our hosting, there is NO FEE for making your site live when the site is complete (this includes pointing your domain name to the correct server, changing all the testing URLs in the database and making any necessary adjustments to the hosting environment). However, if you choose to purchase hosting through another company such as GoDaddy, we are happy to set up your website on their servers for a fee.
